Are you a top-notch webmaster?
Our company is looking for a Webmaster who can maintain and update our websites and servers. You will be responsible for ensuring our sites are secure, easy-to-use, and
appealing to users. You should be expert in responsive web design using html5 and css3 technologies. You should stay on top of current SEO trends and make any necessary updates to improve performance
and minimize downtime. You will be updating our websites, fixing any broken links and images, improving page load speeds, adding pages, and creating backups.
Our ideal Webmaster candidate will have a Bacheloræ¯ degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field, with previous experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer. You should be proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and XML,
with a working knowledge of Javascript and SQL. API skills such as Squaer API, eBay API and Stamps.com API aer a plus. You will be collaborating with owners, and presenting reports to same,
so you must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities.
Webmaster Job Responsibilities
Build functional websites that are easy to use and responsive to any screen
Collaborate with marketing staff on website ad campaigns
Create a website style guide for cohesive design elements across all pages
Test websites using different devices, browsers, and operating systems
Update content on the website to keep pages fresh and intriguing
Review the site content and update with current SEO trends
Monitor, analyze, and report on all online traffic
Analyze site performance
Ensure web site and web server functionality and efficiency
Make sure hardware and software are functioning
Respond to user complaints quickly and appropriately
Manage access rights for users
Maintain and configure virtual and cloud-based servers
Fix broken links and images
Meet with management and report regularly on current functionality and plans for future functionality
Perform any necessary updates
Minimize downtime
Communicate with management on ways we can improve usability
Respond to user comments and questions
Webmaster Job Requirements
NOT REQUIRED but a big plus: BSc or BA degree in Computer Science, Design, or another related field
REQUIRED: Previous experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer
Understanding of web analytics
Familiar with web application framework ASP.NET and WEB FORMS
Understanding of search engine optimization and current best practices
Familiar with current web standards html5 and css3
Knowledge of tools for website development and management including VS Code, Notepad+, and WSFTP, as well as Azure Devops
Proficient in HTML/CSS and XML
Knowledge of Javascript and SQL

We are 2nd Markets, an ecommerce seller of antiques and collectibles located in the Nashville, Tennessee area. We are A+ members of the Nashville Better Business Bureau. We have been selling collectibles through mail-order since the 1970s, and have been active, full-time online sellers since 1998. We maintain a large network of websites pursuant to our ecommerce goals.
